Okay, so I did make a Pokemon Rescue Team tribute from another site because I felt like it. The title and some of the chapters that might be are based off of the song If Today Was Your Last Day by Nickelback. Frankly, I have fallen in love with that song right now. Okay, well the book is based off of my two characters off of another site, Kc and Riley. Though I dubbed Riley as a normal Pokemon in this. Kind of like the game "Explorers Of Darkness" really. Love the game, by the way. Well, I hope you enjoy this book, and I hope you don't think it's a piece of crap either. Thought I truely don't mind.
For now, at least.

Prologue - Making The Mark. "No, I can't do it! But I have to! What will everyone think of me if I don't?"
A small water-type shivered and shook as it stood not nine feet away from the guild, his face filled with worry. He looked confused and utterly shaken by what he was about to do, anyone to could, his mind wanting to hide the body that it sat inside, telling it that it couldn't do this right now, to run and hide and never come back. That maybe being at home would be better than going on adventures and rescuing Pokemon that were helpless and in need. Wait, what was he thinking?! His heart began to thud faster as he took one step forward. He knew he couldn't say no to an opportunity like this! This was his only chance to become a rescue team and let people know who he was. That was his dream, wasn't? Again, he took another step forward, stepping onto some strong sticks that was built over a hole, squares lighting the way.
See? Riley thought, a little tension easing off of his shoulders. Nothing bad was going to happen to me. Nothing bad ev-
"Alert! Alert!" a voice suddenly sounded, making Riley tense up and jump. "Whose footprint?! Whose footprint?!.....The footprint belongs to Totodile!! The footprint belongs to Totodile!"
"Huh? Wha?!" Riley jumped back wards, frightened fully of the voice. Without a conscious thought, the Pokemon turned and ran, no thought of where he was going exactly.
All he knew was that he had to get away.
***
"Hang on! Just a little longer!"
"I can't! Just let go or you'll fall, too!"
"No! I'll willing to risk it! No ju- Kc! No!"

"I wonder why I can't do it," the Totodile muttered, his head handing low along with his arms and tail. "Oh, I'm pathetic." He sniffled, slowly stopping on the sand, turning to wards the ocean. The sun was practically setting, and he smiled as the Krabbys and Kingler released their Bubble Beam out into the ocean. Riley sighed, finally smiling. "What a site, huh?" he murmured to him self. "Too bad I can't just live here, huh?"
"Ughhh," someone's voice groaned, making the Totodile jump.
"Huh?" Riley said in surprise, turning every which way quickly. Whose there?"
"Ohhh," the voice groaned again, making Riley turn into a half circle. There, not many feet away from him, a body of a Chimchar lay on the beach, the ocean water clipping it's feet as it lay passed out.
"Oh no!" Riley cried. "An injured Pokemon!"

Chapter One - It Begins. "Ohh......"
He groaned and moaned repeativly, his body throbbing of pain that wouldn't go away. What had happend to him? What was wrong? Where was he? Why was he here? The questions only made his head hurt more the more he thought about them. He could barely move, his eyes wouldn't open. He could hear noises from the outside world. If there was a world, at least. He didn't remember what happend exactly, but somehow, he ended up feeling hurt and disoreinted. Why was this? Had he hit his head? Was his head even solid anymore? Was he a ghost now, just drifting endlessly in some sort of other demension, all alone while the blood in his veins was being sucked out, the bones being crushed into nothing?
And then he heard it.
There was some sort of voice calling to him. Was it an angel? Or was it a demon here to get his soul while it still could? Or was it just someone else, someone trying to save his life? He couldn't tell, his mind was too much in shock to listen what he had to say to it. But the voice kept rining on and on, bringing step by step closer towards waking up again. Would he want to wake up again? Was he even asleep? He could only know if he kept listening, kept trying to get closer to that one voice that called out to him franticly.
"Hey!" the voice said to him. "Hey, you! Are you okay? Get up! Please, don't die! Your okay, right? Hey!" He could feel something tugging at what seemed to be his arm. It didn't want him to go, so why should he? He had to know more.
Wait, what did he want to know about?
"Ohh...," he groaned, his vision blurry as he slowly opened his eyes into the setting sunlight. "What happend?" he groaned again, one hand clutching a fist full of sand. Wait, sand?
"That's what I wanna know!" the voice said, now sounding releived. "Are you okay?"
"Uhh.....," he trailed, slowly putting his hands at both sides and pushing himself onto his hands and knees. "I-I-I dunno," he coughed this time. "Do I look okay?"
"You look like any normal Chimchar would, I guess," the voice said.
"Huh?!" he exclaimed. Quickly, his head shot up. There stood a Totodile, it's head cocking as it stared at him confusingly.
"Are you sure your okay?" the Totodile asked again, taking a step forward. "You don't look so well.
"Wait!" the Chimchar said quickly. "You mean you can talk?!"
"Well, yeah!" the Totodile exclaimed. "All Pokemon here can. Are you sure you didn't have a concussion?"
"No!" the Chimchar snapped. "And where's here?" It only took a second for the new fire-type to realize he hurt the other Pokemon's feelings. "Oh gosh," he said quickly. "I'm sorry!"
"It's okay," the Totodile muttered.
"M-maybe I should sit down," the Chimchar said. He only just now relized that he was shaking out of his wits. What this normal? Was anything normal?
"That might help," said the Totodile. Shakingly, the Fire-Type sat onto his rear, facing where the sunset was being held. He only just now realized that a few bubbles were drifting out to sea. Where were they coming from? Did he wawnt to know.
"My name's Riley," the voice made him jump as he looked towards the Totodile. "What's yours?"
Uh...," He blanked for a minute. His mind clicked, and he realized - he only remembered his name. What was going on? "K-Kc," he stuttered, blinking.
"Kc, huh?" Riley questioned, his gaze turning from the sea to the Pokemon sitting next to him Slowly, Kc nodded. But Riley only smiled a wide smile to his new -found friend. "Well that's a funny and unusual name!" he said with a slight chuckle in his voice. Kc's eyes narrowed.
"Hey!" he exclaimed. "Riley's a funny name, too!"
"Oh yeah?" Riley questioned, his voice still chuckling a bit. "And where is it that you come from?"
"Huh?" Kc blinked in confusion. Wuh....Where did I come from?"
"Yeah!" Riley said, though his chuckling had slowled down a bit. "Like, where were you before you washed up here? Maybe I could help you get back there!"
Slowly, Kc looked out to the water again. Where did he come from? What was he like there? Was he nice to other Pokemon like Riley was to him? But in fact, was Kc even a Pokemon at all? He was confused. What did happen to make him come here in the first place? He was confused, and he needed a bit of help in that factor.
"I don't now," Kc sighed finally, dropping his head between his shoulders.
"What'd ya mean you don't know?" the Totodile asked. "You have to know something!"
"I know, I know," Kc said. "B....but to tell you the truth, Riley, I think I'm a human."
There was a long pause after that. Kc dare not look at Riley. What if he thought he was crazy and just hid his head too hard on something? What if he thought he was lying and wanted to ditch him then and there? But what if he thought he was telling the truth and didn't like humans because of some odd reason? Weren't humans kind to Pokemon? Or were they cruel and abusive? Though, Kc began to worry when he didn't hear anything from the other Pokemon. Did he run off without him noticing the sound of foot steps? Had he gone deaph?
"Riley?" Kc said slowly, looking up.
Sure enough, the Totodile still there, though his forehead was creassed. He was fully turned towards him, leaning over slightly as he stared at him. Kc felt strange as the Pokemon did this. Was he examining him? Or was he just trying to tell or sense something to make sure he was telling the truth. It almost creeped Kc out. If Riley hadn't burst out laughing, falling backwards as he clutched his stomach. Kc would've thought he was broken or something.
"Good one, Case!" the Pokemon laughed. "You must've been a real tricxter where you came from! Boy, I tell ya! You almost had me fooled!"

For the prologue
It’s a bit confusing, I have to say, I was a bit confused when reading this.
You might want to add a bit of background, what happened before all this, and why is this character doing what he is doing.
How did he end up on the beach anyways.
Chapter one
Ah, much better, it’s not brilliant, but good. I suggest that you add in more description, and your spelling could be better. I can edit that for you if you want, not grammar, though.
Not bad, though, mate, keep it up!
